News Apps Intern, The Seattle Times, Seattle, Wash. (June 2013 – Present) I work with data sets to create interactive online packages that either help reporters or aid news consumers.
News Producer & On-Air Host, KUAF 91.3 FM NPR, Fayetteville, Ark. (August 2012 – May 2013) I was a weekend host for shows such as This American Life, Weekend Edition, All Things Considered and more. I also worked with the news team to produce stories for the local news program Ozarks at Large.
News Intern, KUAF 91.3 FM NPR, Fayetteville, Ark. (May 2012 – June 2012) I worked full time for about a month at the station as the news intern. I learned how to build radio productions, improve my interviewing skills and write well-structured scripts. I produced 10 news stories ranging from economics to social issues to entertainment.
